In this how to draw Yoda tutorial, you’ll learn to put him on a piece of paper the right way. We start with that “frown line” – that will give us the necessary perspective for all the facial features (00 min 12 sec).

Next, put in the wrinkles (yep, our hero is pretty old) (00 min 31 sec). They look like three branches, but that’s exactly what we need. Then, we take care of the nose (00 min 47 sec). It’s pretty tiny and easy to draw. The eyes, on the other hand, are big, and you could call them the main focus of this how to draw Yoda guide (01 min 16 sec).

They look identical; so, if you’re working on a computer, you can just go ahead and copy the right one. If you’re happy with the eyes, move on to the mouth (02 min 14 sec). Once you put the cheekbones in, Yoda will start to look like one of the Angry Birds characters (03 min 03 sec). Remember: he’s facing the left side of the picture, and you’ll have to depict that here.

Once the head is done, take care of the super-long (and cute) ears (03 min 54 sec). The right one is just a continuation of the head’s shape. Use curvy lines and don’t forget to add some hair in there. The next stage of the how to draw Yoda tutorial are the ears – they look identical. But, because the hero is a bit tilted, the left one should be positioned lower. Ok, the final step in this how to draw Yoga guide is the body and the sword (05 min 24 sec).

The hands might prove to be a bit tricky, so, take your time with them and follow my video closely (05 min 50 sec). Draw the sword using straight lines. Some Things To Keep In Mind…

These tutorials are only here to guide you. Your drawing does not need to look "identical" to mine.

Start with rough but light pencil strokes that you can work into the shapes you want.

Once you have your rough drawing completed, go over it in a darker stroke for your final drawing.

Add shading and/or color to complete if desired.

Using this technique you will be able to draw anything after some practice... even without following step-by-step tutorials.
