How to draw a Ship

Learn How To Draw A Ship Quickly & Easily!

Let’s divide this drawing into several “levels” to make everything easier. The sea at the very bottom is the first step in this how to draw a Ship tutorial (00 min 05 sec). The lower part of the ship comes next (00 min 08 sec). Use a straight line at the top and two vertical ones to complete this level. Next, draw another line in the middle of this part and add a long rectangular shape right above it (00 min 12 sec).

Once you connect it to the rest of the levels and create the three pipes, you’ll be mostly done with this composition (00 min 16 sec). What we will do next is add more details to make our ship look even better. See the steam coming out of those mighty pipes (00 min 20 sec)? Take care of it first and then move on to the next stage in this how to draw a Ship tutorial – the windows.

You can either follow my lead or do it your way. Overall, there are 7 windows in the third levels and 9 in the second (00 min 30 sec). And, you’ve got 3 “steams” coming out of each pipe. I used the gradual approach and finished the whole thing in one go. Do whatever works for you and don’t forget about two more waves at the bottom.

Before you learn how to draw A Ship, did you know?

Have you ever been on a ship? The experience is truly amazing, especially if you don’t get sea sick :). They are slower than, say, the planes, but are much more affordable both for the regular folks and for the international transportation companies, which is a big plus.

They come in different shapes and sizes and serve different purposes, including, of course, military operations. Back in the day, ships allowed our kind to greatly improve communications, commerce, migration, and, of course, colonization.

Some Things To Keep In Mind…

These tutorials are only here to guide you. Your drawing does not need to look "identical" to mine.

Start with rough but light pencil strokes that you can work into the shapes you want.

Once you have your rough drawing completed, go over it in a darker stroke for your final drawing.

Add shading and/or color to complete if desired.

Using this technique you will be able to draw anything after some practice... even without following step-by-step tutorials.
