How To Draw A Monster

Learn How To Draw A Monster Quickly

This isn’t the hardest video course on our website. At the same time, it’s not as easy to create a monster like that as you might think. So, we begin this how to draw a Monster tutorial with the head (00 min 05 sec). Every single part of this beast is zigzag-like – keep that in mind. You’ll need a tall shape that looks a bit like the Christmas tree for the head.

For the eyes, use two tiny circles with curvy lines below connecting them to the left and right sides (00 min 17 sec). The mouth is probably the most important part (00 min 30 sec). It resembles a tiny tooth. Follow my lead and don’t forget about the tongue. The hands are almost identical to each other (00 min 40 sec).

The bottom is the next part of this how to draw a Monster tutorial (01 min 01 sec). It’s a bit “spikey” and it looks like the monster is rising from a puddle of mud. Make sure the circle is covered in zigzags as opposed to being nice and smooth (01 min 11 sec). Finally, add a series of dots all over the place like you see in my example. They’re not actually dots, but rather tiny curves. Ok, now we’re officially done!

This guy is pretty scary, right? However, once you master our tutorial, you won’t see him as a monster, but as a beautiful drawing. Monsters have always been a huge part of our lives, especially back when we’re little. They hide in the closets and come out late at night.

This particular beast seems to be made of sand, or, rather, mud. As a drawing, it’s quite simple and won’t make you sweat for days, trying to get it right. Just follow my instructions and you’ll be done with it in no time. Oh, and try to come up with a name for this monster!

Some Things To Keep In Mind…

These tutorials are only here to guide you. Your drawing does not need to look "identical" to mine.

Start with rough but light pencil strokes that you can work into the shapes you want.

Once you have your rough drawing completed, go over it in a darker stroke for your final drawing.

Add shading and/or color to complete if desired.

Using this technique you will be able to draw anything after some practice... even without following step-by-step tutorials.
